How Can You Certify Your Dutch Language Skills
How Can You Certify Your Dutch Language Skills How to Prove You Can Speak Dutch ChaptersThe Case for Learning DutchWhere Can You Take Dutch Classes?Official Language Exams for DutchObviously, if you opened your mouth and started spouting about bitterballen and Hollanse Nieuwe Haring â" or other traditional Dutch foods in the language of Amsterdam, most people would be convinced that you have a good grasp of Dutch.University administrators might not be so keen to permit your enrolment in their Dutch language programme simply based on your holding forth in that tongue, though... they need actual credentials from a qualified examining board.Where can you get them, now that Dutch A-Levels have been withdrawn? And, are there any Dutch language programmes to major in at any of our universities anymore? That is the topic your Superprof broaches today. Not just the dwindling avenues to certify your Dutch language skills in our country but the fact that, globally, Dutch is rapidly becoming a minor language, a fact that serves nobody well.Least of all avid Dutch speakers l ike you!the most-spoken languages of the world, nor is it widely studied.Furthermore, if you were to seek higher education in the Netherlands, you might be pleasantly surprised to find a multitude of undergraduate and graduate programs conducted entirely in English. And, should you plan on relocating, say, to Utrecht or Rotterdam, you might be able to get by using just your English language skills as more than 80% of the natives can competently converse in English...But none of that does anything for anyone who wishes to gain fundamental knowledge of that centuries-old culture!Fact is, there are many reasons to learn Dutch, some fun and others seriously beneficial â" besides all of the reasons that tongue enticed you to learn it.Like you, we mourn the dwindling opportunities to study it in-depth in the UK. To that end, we now list where you could find qualified instruction in Dutch vocabulary and grammar.Where Can You Take Dutch Classes?Weâll just get the sad truth about Dutch lan guage studies in our country out of the way right now: every certifying avenue, from GCSE and A-Levels to university degrees, have been withdrawn for 2 reasons:Lack of student interestLack of qualified teachers and examinersOne might put the lack of learners desiring to know this language down to English speakers' apathy toward studying languages in general â" a sad state of affairs, really! On the other hand, you are living proof that not every Briton disdains to learn a second language, and there are surely more people who, like you, wish to communicate effectively in more than one language. So, perhaps a combination of those two factors mentioned above make for a veritable chicken-and-egg scenario. At least, that might have been the case 25 years ago, when the Internet was in its infancy! In those days, language scholars had no choice but to accept the learning opportunities immediately available to them, or else relocate to where there would be a broader range of choices.Today, tha nks to modern technology, you may study just about any language you could think of in a virtual classroom, Dutch included. In fact, several renowned institutes of higher learning on our island offer online classes in Dutch, the foremost one being University College London. All of their Dutch courses â" beginner, intermediate and advanced are taught strictly online, on a one-to-one basis. As soon as you sign up for your language class, you will receive your login credentials via email. Once youâve gained access to their learning portal, you may then avail yourself to your course materials and set your schedule. Each course lasts 12 weeks and you have the option of taking courses concurrently â" for example, you may sign up for Beginner 1 and Beginner 2, in which case your course duration would be doubled.Their Advanced Dutch course lasts the same amount of time but requires either your completion of their intermediate course or certified Dutch language capability of at least B2 level on the CEFRL scale.Patience, dear Reader: we will soon get to these certifications and how to attain them!Didn't you learn Dutch so you could do more than run through tulip fields? Source: Pixabay Credit:Public Domain PicturesSuccessful completion of this advanced-level course will promote your language level to CEFRL C1... but you will have to test elsewhere to get your official certification.Incidentally, if you truly wish to dive head-first into the history and evolution of the language, you may sign up for their Early Modern Dutch course or, if you are more of an economic bent, their Business Dutch lessons might appeal to you.If these are the Dutch classes youâve been looking for, you should rush to enrol in their January sessions; they are now accepting applications!Should you live in London, and if your days are already filled, you might be interested in the Dutch language learning programmes at the University of Westminster. These courses are not necessarily targeted toward any certification process; they are more conversational in nature, with their emphasis being more on speaking and listening.Furthermore, you wonât get to the meat of the language â" grammatical structures and verb usage unless you sign up for the advanced course and, even then there is little focus on reading and writing in Dutch.Nevertheless, if you were looking for native speakers to test your pronunciation with and improve your language proficiency, these language courses might be a valuable review resource ahead of your certification exam.Sadly, this course is not offered online but, if you were looking for a native Dutch speaker for online language training and exam preparation, why not turn to Superprof?Superprof has more than 100 native Dutch speakers or who are English-Dutch bilingual to challenge your fluency and teach you all about the language and culture of the Netherlands. One look at our Dutch tutorsâ page will reveal each tutorâs experience with giving Dutch la nguage lessons, attested by past studentsâ testimonials. You will also see, at a glance, how much each tutor charges per hour of instruction and that most Superprof tutors give their first hour of lessons at no charge! For a learner preparing to take a language assessment test, a Superprof might be just your language study solution in the run-up to your certification exam! Now, your patience will be rewarded as we finally talk about the official exams that will certify your Dutch language skills! You may prove your Dutch language ability through one of three exams Source: Pixabay Credit: Ralf GervinkOfficial Language Exams for DutchThatâs not a typo, dear Reader! As opposed to CEFRLs in other European languages or the HSK, if you were learning Mandarin, there are in fact three separate language exams to prove your Dutch language ability; each accords to a specific set of circumstances. The Inburgeringsexamen is designed for anyone wishing to immigrate to the Netherlands.Such hopefuls must sit a preliminary exam at the Dutch embassy in their home country. The actual measure of oneâs language acquisition takes place in the Netherlands, and only if the linguist has the pre-examination results in-hand.A measure of controversy surrounds this particular foreign language exam; not the least of which is that even the average Dutch native speaker cannot pass the pre-exam!The second, more likely exam would be the Staatsexamen Nederlands; a two-tier placement test suitable for foreign students wishing to study in the Netherlands.Programme 1 corresponds to CEFRLâs B1 level of language capability; Programme 2 is more advanced.Should you hope to live and undergo an apprenticeship in Amsterdam, the first exam should be sufficient; enrolling in a university or working would demand Programme 2 certification. Finally, and overall the most comprehensive exam to prove your linguistic ability is the CNaVT: the Certificate of Dutch as a Foreign Language. It is offered in 4 tiers:P TIT: Tourist and informal language level corresponds to Level A2 on the CEFRL scalePMT: equal to the CEFRL B1 language proficiency testPTHO means those candidates are proficient at the professional or university level; CEFRL level B2PAT: Level C1; an academicâs knowledge of the language and cultureAs you might have been preparing to sit A-Levels, your best match likely would be PMT or PTHO.On the other hand, if you have truly been diligent in your language course, your level of competence may be even higher!Learning a language is a lifelong endeavour, as you surely know.Very few people undertake language instruction purely for the learning experience; most people study language with a specific purpose in mind: a love of the culture, more job opportunities, relocation and the like.As you, like most others, are likely purpose-driven in your studies, it stands to reason that you would want a means to legitimise your linguistics and, in the absence of any such vehicle in your home cou ntry, it would be logical to seek such outlets abroad. And now, you know where to find them! Now you should turn to this list of revision materials tailored to your aims!

Online Calculus Solver Tutors
Online Calculus Solver Tutors Calculus Solver is the tool used to calculate the problems related to calculus. It generally involves the problems related to the limits continuity, differential calculus and integral calculus. This solver uniquely identifies the problem whether it is problem of limits continuity or differential calculus or integral calculus etc, it first identifies and accordingly provides the solution according to the requirement of problem. It basically uses suitable formula to evaluate. In its storage area, it stores formulas of all different parts whether formula of differential calculus or integral calculus or limits etc. Based on these formulas and along with relevant rules this tool solves the problem after proper evaluation/ analysis of the problem. From the below mentioned examples, this can be more clarified. Example 1:- Find the derivative of the x. (Sinx) Solution 1:- Given function is x. (Sinx) To find: - d/dx x. (Sinx) We know that,d/dx (Sinx) = Cos x Therefore, d/dx x. (Sinx) = x.d/dx (Sinx) + Sinx d/dx (x) So d/dx x. (Sinx) = x Cos x + Sinx (1) Therefore, d/dx x. (Sinx) = x Cos x + Sinx (1) Hence d/dx x. (Sinx) = x Cos x + Sinx. This is one example in which Calculus solver solved differential calculus problem by used formulas of differential calculus. Example 2:- Find the integration of x^7 + x^5 + 5 dx Solution 2:- Given function is x^7 + x^5 + 5. Here we have to find the integration of x^7 + x^5 + 5. Now we know that,x^n.dx = x^ (n+1) / n+1 + c, Here c is constant of integration Therefore, x^7 + x^5 + 5 dx = x^7 dx+ x^5 dx + 5 dx x^ (7+1)/ (7+1) + x^ (5+1)/ (5+1) + 5 x+ c x^8/8 + x^6/6 + 5x +c So the integration of x^7 + x^5 + 5 dx = x^8/8 + x^6/6 + 5x +c In this example c is constant of integration. This is one example in which Calculus solver solved integral calculus problem by used formulas of integral calculus .

3 Steps to Edit Your Essay
3 Steps to Edit Your Essay Composing essays involves a great deal of time and effort, and once most writers have completed a rough draft, editing it is the very last task they wish to face. If you finish a paper and feel this way, do not worry. This is natural. After you have finished a rough draft, the first thing you should do is leave it. Engage in a different activity. Watch a film. Take a swim. Allow yourself time at least 24 hours of it. Distancing yourself from your essay will result in a freshly constructive perspective toward it. When you finally do return to your paper, you will be akin to a detached outsider reviewing it, and (hopefully!) you will discover multiple ways to improve it. You may also want to consider consulting an essay editing tutorwho can help you with this process as well. Here are three elements to keep in mind as you edit your essay: 1. Organization When you first begin to edit your essay, assess the flow, or development, of your thought progression. When initially formulating your argument, it is all too simple to move from one point to the next without clarifying your logic. A day of separation from the piece will help you to ascertain exactly where this may have occurred. Review your argument carefully; if you move too quickly between points early in your paper, your reader will lose interest or confidence in the piece before reaching its conclusion. Ensure your argument is easy to follow. Here are some tips on how to organize your noteswhich will ultimately make your essay more organized as well! Do not hesitate to thoroughly revise your work. Even the best writers must regularly cut or revise entire paragraphs, and it is not uncommon for columnists, playwrights, reporters, and screenwriters to begin anew. This is not a negative occurrence it typically means that the writer has learned how to improve upon his or her original idea. If that idea was originally strong enough to prompt exploration, an improved rendering will likely be even more powerful. 2. Syntax Second, check your word usage for dead metaphors and clichs. Certain phrases are unbearably overused, and deciding upon new and interesting ways of expressing them will win you points with your readers. A phrase like, as busy as a bee could become swarming like a fly farm. Rather than boring your reader with a platitude like, dont judge a book by its cover, turn to an original thought such as, theres more to oranges than just their peels. Deciding upon new ways of formulating old ideas can be entertaining. These are some great tips for writing an essaywhich you may find useful as well. 3. One last read-through When you are satisfied with how your paper looks on screen, one step remains. Print your essay, and read it aloud. Viewing your written work on paper lends your words a finality that a computer screen cannot replicate. Edits that may escape your attention when you see them on the screen will become evident when you read them on a printed page. If you are lucky, you will find yourself returning to the computer with new ideas. The revision process is certainly important, and the strategies outlined above will help you maximize the time you spend editing. But the best way to ensure that your revision process is brief and painless is by devoting ample time and effort to your first draft. Start well, and keep the quality of your writing high. This will provide you with momentum; excitement about what has already been written will lead to optimism about the final product. On the other hand, quickly writing a mediocre first draft leeches energy from the revision process, as editing becomes a matter of creating quality out of something that lacks it, rather than refining and increasing quality that is already present. Finally (but most importantly), do not sacrifice the editing process. If you leave a paper until the last moment, you turn in a rough draft. Even just ten minutes of review of that rough draft a day later will almost certainly improve it. Do not underestimate the power of detaching yourself from your work and editing it with fresh eyes, as a writing tutorwould it can mean the difference between a B- and an A+.
Introverts and Romance in the Office - Introvert Whisperer
Introvert Whisperer / Introverts and Romance in the Office - Introvert Whisperer Introverts and Romance in the Office They say you should not mix business and pleasure, but sometimes you cannot go against your heart. In fact, romance in the office is far from an uncommon phenomenon, and there is nothing wrong with it on paper as long as, in case it ends, it doesnt affect work performance and business relationships. However, such emotionally unpredictable situations can take a particularly big toll on the shy co-workers. If you are interested why, hereâs what you need to know about the trials and tribulations of introverts and romance in the office. Why is it such a big problem for introverts? By their very nature, introverts are not very motivated to seek out the company of other people, let alone become the center of attention in a larger group. Such forced interactions tend to cause a lot of stress and anxiety in them. On the other hand, even introverts require interaction on a regular basis, and falling for a co-worker is one of those regular things that can happen to anyone. The difference this makes for an introverted person is that, in addition to the anxiety caused by social interaction, they have the âstakes raisedâ by having a crush on a co-worker. This means that the âsocial wallâ they have to climb over is a lot taller â" and it can lead to complete avoidance or closing-off when it comes to the person of interest. This is truly counterproductive not only because the introvert suffers, but also because itâs a potentially wasted opportunity if the attraction is reciprocal. Nobody gets out happy out of such a situation.
Parts Of The Respiratory System Online Biology Tutors Tutorpace
Parts Of The Respiratory System Online Biology Tutors Tutorpace Every living thing requires energy for working of the body, machinery, its maintenance, repair, replacement, and biosynthesis. Energy is obtained by breaking down carbon based molecules in the process of respiration. Oxidation-reduction reactions are common chemical reactions involved in respiratory breakdown of molecules. Most organisms use oxygen obtained from outside for the process of respiration. Human respiratory system consists of respiratory tract-nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli and the lungs. The nose is the part of entry for the atmospheric air. Externally it bears two nostrils represented by a cartilaginous septum and internally it opens in to a pair of nasal chambers. Thehair lining the nostrils traps the entry of dust or any other large foreign particles into the system. Themucustrap the harmful organisms. Pharynx is a common passage at the back of the mouth for air and food. Air enters the front tube called the trachea or wind pipe while food enters the hind tube called the esophagus. The opening of the wind pipe is guarded by a muscular flap called the epiglottis. Larynx is located at the start of the trachea is a hollow cartilaginous structure called the voice box. It is more prominent visible in males at the front of the neck and is popularly called the Adams apple. Itconsist of two muscular folds called vocal cords. Vibrations in these cords produce sounds. The trachea divides in the thoracic cavity into two bronchi-the left and right, which enter each lung and branch extensively into the bronchial tree. The smallest bronchial branches are called bronchioles. The bronchioles end in blind air sacs as alveoli. The clusters of alveoli form the lung tissue. Both lungs contain 300 to 400 microscopic alveoli which in a normal adult have a diameter of 0.2mm. Incomplete rings of cartilage keep the trachea and bronchi distended and prevent their collapsing when the pressure inside them falls during inspiration. The cartilaginous rings also strengthen the walls of the trachea and bronchi. Bronchioles are without any cartilage.

How Can Parents Unfamiliar with the Common Core Help their Children at Home
How Can Parents Unfamiliar with the Common Core Help their Children at Home How Can Parents Unfamiliar with the Common Core Help their Children at Home? The Common Core State Standards were developed by an independent coalition of education professionals to prepare students for a 21st century global workforce. The standards outline the skills that students should acquire at each grade level, and are specific to reading and math. The objective of Common Core State Standards is to create greater consistency among school districts, so that any two students in a grade level should have the same basic foundation for success. Parents will have a significant role in helping their children meet those standards, which has created some anxiety because many parents feel the standards are more rigorous. According to a Gallup Poll conducted in April 2014, 35 percent of parents had a positive impression of the new standards and 28 percent of parents had a negative one. The remaining 37 percent didn't know what the Common Core State Standards were. Because the Common Core State Standards are relatively new to everyone involved students, parents, and teachers there will be a learning curve. Parents must take an active approach in order to help their children with homework and learning skills at home. Here are several tips that will help parents to get started: Review the Standards for Your Child's Grade Level: There are a number of different resources that provide easy-to-follow guides on the math and reading standards. The Common Core website is a good place to gain information. Here you will find the standards, links to each state's educational website, FAQs, a history of the standards, and more. The PTA website is another good resource for standards basics, and has several short guides specifically for parents who want to help their children at home. Be Prepared: A key element of the Common Core State Standards is analysis. Students are not expected to simply know an answer; they should also be able to explain how they came to it. Some parents who are new to the Common Core State Standards may need to take extra time to review what their children are learning in order to help them succeed. Seek Help when Necessary: A common misconception is that the standards are the curriculum. The standards are only goals, and how those goals are reached is determined at the local level. Therefore, parents should speak with their children's teachers in order to learn more about what is going on in the classroom and ways that they can help at home. In addition, extra help can be obtained through tutoring. A Huntington Learning Center tutor can develop a personalized lesson plan and monitor success through ongoing assessments to ensure that your child is making a smooth transition to the standards. For more information on the Common Core State Standards, please contact us today at 1-800-CAN-LEARN or visit a Huntington Learning Center near you.
